OPM/ODNI Look to Agencies for Interim Assistance

In April 2015, cyber intruders gained access to potentially millions of Federal employees’ personally identifiable information (PII). Now, the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) and Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) have turned back the clock to paper copy SF86, SF85, SF85P forms and turned to the agencies for help. OPM Director Katherine Archuleta and Director of National Intelligence James Clapper signed a memo on July 2, stating, “Agencies shall maintain a list of all investigations initiated using these interim procedures and the subsequent date the investigations are processed through e-QIP when e-QIP service is restored.”
